There are a lot of benefits to using PayPal for individual and business purposes. Of these reasons, one stands out; it is that PayPal provides its users with the ability to conduct online transactions more securely. PayPal was founded in 1998 and since then has acquired more than 75 million satisfied users. Today, PayPal is accepted by many, major online merchants, making its use widely accepted.
PayPal is well known for providing safe online funds transfers. PayPal has improved its security features over the years. It is a major target for phishing attacks, and yet it keeps its standard for being the safest method of conducting electronic funds transfers for both businesses and individuals. How PayPal works is simple. An individual or a business registers and opens an account with them. Then validates their credit card with the PayPal account and after that simply signs in using the PayPal username and password to make payments. Online merchants who cannot afford an internet payment gateway can signup with PayPal to accept payments from customers via PayPal.

If a user is using PayPal to pay for goods or services, he or she can have peace of mind knowing that credit card details are not divulged to the merchant. The transaction is carried out by PayPal transferring funds from the user’s credit card to the merchant’s PayPal account. PayPal has also partnered with major websites such as eBay, providing users who pay with PayPal free insurance cover for their goods. Many smaller online merchants, such as those on eBay also use PayPal to receive funds, because it is easy to use, widely accepted and extremely secure.

Facebook "memorializes" dead profiles

CNET reports that Facebook is attempting to address a sensitive subject by “memorializing” the profile of a person who has died. After a family member or close friend confirms their relationship to the person and that the person is deceased, Facebook will remove what it deems to be “sensitive” information from the profile – including contact information and status updates (making sure that Facebook members don’t receive a birthday announcement for a dead friend or relative).

What is Pay Per Click Internet Advertising?

October 28, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment

Pay per Click advertising or PPC is a great way to obtain qualified traffic to an ecommerce website. Pay per Click essentially means that an advertiser pays only for the number of clicks on the advertisement and not the number of times the ad is displayed to users. Companies such as Google, Yahoo, MSN, Facebook and AdBright provide organizations and individuals with the opportunity of conducting PPC advertisement campaigns for their websites.

Most Pay per Click advertisements are listed as sponsored listing on search engines or web pages. Google’s adsense program allows website owners publish advertisements from Google, and Google pays them a percentage of the clicks that are received from their website. The most productive to post your advertisements on a pay per click ad campaign is at the top of search results on search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN.

Some of the advantages of using Pay per Click advertising is that advertisers have much more control over which pages are offered for customers to click and the link to the promoted page is displayed on the first results page as opposed to natural or organic search engine listings. Advertisers can also structure their ads and refine their “call to action” enabling more traffic to their website. Webmasters and marketers can choose what keywords the advertisements should show up for. This allows the webmasters and marketers drive more qualified traffic that will use the website more and provide more profits to the website owners. Pay per Click advertisements will provide the webmaster or marketer with a host of information based on demographic, geographic area, time zone, keywords etc., that will prove useful when analyzing the type of traffic that visits the website.
