December 16, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment
Affiliate marketing is one of the fastest and most affordable ways to get started making money online. In essence, what you are doing is selling other companies’ products for a commission. You can make money without developing your own product or building your own sales site. All you do is promote the product and send the customers to the company’s site to make the purchase. Of course, I don’t want to make this sound too easy. It does take work, commitment, persistence and time like any other business.

The Analytics tools for Google+ have many excited about the new Google+ Business Pages. Businesses know that when it comes to BI and decision making, data is king. Google has had years of experience building and honing its data gathering, analysis and reporting tools within the business framework, and it leverages this competitive advantage by integrating its leadership in search and API development to offer an easy and reliable way for businesses to measure the success of their online initiatives. This is a notable strength of the new social network’s business page features, because the Analytics component has been conceptualized and built from the very beginning. 10 Questions for New SEO Clients
December 5, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment
Hello Jill, If you could only ask 10 general (non-industry-specific) questions of your new SEO customers, what would they be and why would their answers help you help them? Thank you, Andrew ++Jill’s Response++ Hi Andrew, Great question! I have a variety of different questionnaires that I send to clients, depending on the type of SEO consulting that I’ll be doing with them. For any SEO service, the more information I get from the client about their business and website, the better I can help them with their SEO. Here’s a selection of some of the questions I ask and why they’re important to the overall SEO process: 1. What Web Analytics Program Do You Use, and Can We Have Access to It? Web analytics are the key to measuring the current level of SEO success (or lack thereof). They’re also the key to determining whether any future SEO implementation is helping to bring more targeted traffic. Therefore, it’s critical for me to have access to this information regardless of the level of SEO service I’m providing.

Article Marketing Tips

Article by Pierre Zarokian of iClimber, A social media marketing company

Article marketing by now is a standard practice used by many doing SEO. Not only it generates back links, but also can generate direct traffic to your website. Here are some tips on how to make your article marketing work.
1- Write original content. Do nt write low quality content or recycle other people’s second hand content
2- Submit your article to high authority sites in your industry. These will result in better quality links and traffic to your website.
3- For most effect write as many articles as possibel and submit to as many different places as possible. A minimum of 4 articles monthly is recommended.
4- Do not submit the same exact article to several places, because this will defeat the prupose of link building as Google uses duplicate content filters. However, do make content modification and re-writes of your own article
5- Many bloggers are happy to publisg your articles for free in return for your free content. However, it is good idea to offer them a link back to make the deal more attractive and get more people to publish your articles.
6- Submiting your articles to a lot of article directories is not a good idea, because over time you will have duplicates of your article all over. Instead, submit your article to one or two top article directories and once you see a few people have published it, remove it or change it to a different version. Make sure these directories have a way of allowing you to remove your own article quickly.

More than once in the six years that I have been providing SEO services for websites, I have had the opportunity to discuss with individual business owners their search engine optimization needs. Now and again, I run across an individual business owner who is quick to say that SEO is absolutely worthless. When confronted with such an absolute statement, I like to press for details. It has been my experience that people who speak in negative absolutes will have a horror story to share. In this article, I am going to detail some of the stories I’ve heard, which frequently tells more about some of the people in our industry, than it does about the effectiveness of search engine marketing. PROBLEM #1 – “I rank number one in Google, and yet, I have never earned a dime from my website…” When I first heard this story, I was very surprised… After all, if your SEO company did good keyword research, there is no reason why you should not be getting traffic and a few sales from a top ranking in Google. I pressed for more details… I learned that the company who built the website also did the search engine optimization. It only took a couple of minutes to learn that the website design company optimized this fellows’ website for the name of his company.
