Google today announced a new feature through Google Docs that allows users to upload all file types to the cloud. Over the new few weeks, users will be able to upload and access important files online on any computer, with the opportunity to backup larger files such as graphics files, RAW photos and ZIP archives to the cloud.

Is Google Censoring Searches on Islam?

When you enter the search terms “Christianity is” or “Buddhism is” into a Google search bar, Google will give suggestions for auto-completing the search. In some cases the suggestions might be offensive to followers of these religions, such as “fake” and “a cult.” However, no such potentially offensive suggestions — or any suggestions at all — come up when entering a search on “Islam is” in Google.

Google Updates Translator Toolkit

Google has added new features to its Translator Toolkit, making it easier for users to collaborate on translations through chat. Similar to the features in Gmail, users can now send instant messages to colleagues, friends, family and groups and can even save translation chats in Gmail.

Top Chinese Search Engine Baidu to Venture into Online Video

Reuters reports that Baidu, the top search engine in China, is poised to make a foray into the underserved but potentially lucrative online video market. Sources close to the company claim the Baidu is teaming up with Providence Equity Partners, a major investor in Hulu.com, to create a new online video channel in China.
