Searching Socially Worldwide on Google

Google has been looking into social networking since 2009, and now they have finally devised a way for friends to find each other on Google. In their recent update for their search engine on people, they have allowed users see other users considered friends to appear in Google’s social search results thoughout SERP rather than appearing jumbled together down at the bottom.

Google Supports Other Search Engines

While Google is undoubtedly the top search engine dominating over all others and fighting against the likes of Yahoo and Bing, it does have a bit of a softer side for the underdog search engines that are not that well known. This was demonstrated by Matt Cutts, current CEO of Google, who encouraged users from Google to check out not just one but two competing search engines known as Blekko and DuckDuckGo.
