December 9, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment

Facebook has revealed its list of top ten most-mentioned news stories of 2011 in the UK, with a BBC story concerning global population growth. In addition to the number one article, other newsworthy topics included the UK riots, the Royal Wedding and The Only Way Is Essex. The social networking giant put together the list by counting the number of clicks on its site for stories posted from the UK’s top media outlets. These articles can have appeared as shared items, wall posts or likes. Coming in at second place was the Sun’s story about a woman who received a tattoo with a scatological theme from her boyfriend for cheating on him.

October 24, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment

Social media marketing has many myths and untruths surrounding it, usually spread by people who have no knowledge whatsoever of social media marketing and how it works. These are some of the most common myths that abound, and some possible responses to use when faced with them. The Company’s Customers Do Not Use Social Media This is a common myth, and one that continues to astonish a lot of social media marketing professionals. Some companies do not use social media at all, yet they profess to have the knowledge of their customers’ social media habits. Blackberry users endure blackout, slow recovery

October 12, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment

A major service disruption is causing frustration for a third day among owners of the BlackBerry smartphone. The problem, which first surfaced on Monday and then reared its head again on Tuesday, left Blackberry users without access to email, internet, and BBM – the messenger service that allows Blackberry users to interact with one another for free. Though Canadian BlackBerry manufacturer Research In Motion (RIM) acknowledged the outage quickly, it took 36 hours to further elaborate on what caused the problem. “The messaging and browsing delays being experienced by BlackBerry users in Europe, the Middle East, Africa, India, Brazil, Chile and Argentina were caused by a core switch failure within RIM’s infrastructure. “Although the system is designed to failover to a back-up switch, the failover did not function as previously tested.

Has Google+ Already Won that War Against Facebook? A SPN Exclusive Article

July 11, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment
