February 9, 2012 by creative · Leave a Comment

Time is precious. They say “time is money,” but I think it’s even more than that. In this post, I would like to talk about the SEO practices that are a complete waste of time. Before writing the post, I simply sat down and penned my SEO experiences. As a beginner, I used to waste a lot of time on different SEO methods that later on turned out quite useless. So, I made a list of those. I’ve also “interviewed” some of my SEO buddies and included their piece of advice in this post, too. So, what I would like to present to you is our distilled wisdom. Enjoy! It is NO use: 1

It pays to have friends, especially as Facebook finally files its long awaited IPO. Reports have been swirling for months over Facebook’s looming IPO and it’s finally happened. The company filed initial public offering papers with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday evening. In the filing, Facebook, which has more than 845 million users across the globe, indicated it was seeking to raise $5 billion – making it the biggest IPO by a web company since Google in 2004 and could place the company’s value as high as $75 billion (

January 19, 2012 by publisher · Leave a Comment

Online video marketing – it’s the latest and greatest addition to internet marketing. If you create your online videos the right way, viewers will get excited about your products and services – and, more importantly, they’ll think of you as an expert in your niche. But if you create your online videos the wrong way, they’ll do the exact opposite! Sadly, far too many of the online videos out there fall into the second category. So, why do viewers hate your online videos? And what can you do to make them better? 1. Because the Background is Distracting No one wants to see the clutter on your desk, the drawing your kid made in school (no matter how cute it may be!), or sunlight streaming through the window that’s blinding everyone who’s trying to look at you.

Wikipedia to go dark tomorrow

January 17, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment

It’s lights out for Wikipedia tomorrow as the site launches a public protest against American anti-piracy measures. The ubiquitous online encyclopaedia has officially announced that it has chosen to blackout the English version of Wikipedia on Wednesday in protest against proposed anti-piracy laws in the United States. The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) in the U.S. House of Representatives and its companion bill PROTECTIP (PIPA) in the U.S. Senate are designed to block access to sites containing unauthorised copyright material. Ultimately, content owners and the U.S. government would be given the power to request court orders to shut down sites associated with piracy

Apple rumour mill turning over next-generation graphics

January 13, 2012 by admin · Leave a Comment

Now that several months have passed since the release of Apple’s iPhone 4S, the rumour mill has started turning once again as techies everywhere begin to speculate about what’s coming next from Cupertino. If the rumours are true, iPad and iPhone users can expect a boost in graphics that would see next generation models with 20 times better graphic power than the models currently on the market. The boost, according to according to enthusiast site Appleinsider , would come to new devices thanks to Imagination Technologies, who launched its PowerVR Series6 GPU core chip family at CES this week. The new chip has been touted as providing better performance than the current generation, and “enables Imagination’s partners to deliver amazing user experiences in devices from innovative ‘natural’ user interfaces to ultra-realistic gaming, as well as enabling new applications never before thought of from advanced content creation and image processing to sophisticated augmented reality and environment-aware solutions,” Imagination said in a press release. Imagination GPUs are already built into Apple’s central processing units on the iPad, iPhone, iPod Touch, and Apple TV – including the A5 chip inside the iPhone 4S and iPad 2, as well as the A4 chip inside the iPhone 4 and first generation iPad

Educating Your Visitors – The Power of Giving and User-Friendly Websites – A SPN Exclusive Article

January 11, 2012 by elegant · Leave a Comment

I’ve been involved in sales and marketing for over twenty years – half my adult life. And sometimes I still get confused when I browse the Internet and visit websites searching for information, or to make a purchase. I’m absolutely amazed at how complicated some marketers make doing business online. Let’s talk about searching for information for a moment. After all, most people go online not to buy anything, but rather to search for information to solve a problem they have. Knowing this is important, because if you understand that the Internet is driven by information and information seekers, as a marketer, you can kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. 1. You can provide information seekers with the information they’re looking for. 2.

Tips on How to Convert Your Articles Into Videos

December 26, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment

When I wrote the article “10 Proven Benefits of Converting Your Articles into Videos” the first comment I received from one of my followers was “How do you turn your articles into videos?” This prompted me to come up with this simple explanation on how to go about it. There are several options of converting your articles into videos. For instance you can use PowerPoint to create animated slides and convert them into a video format. You can use a flash program to create your videos. But these options really require technical know-how and most people may find it a little bit difficult. The easiest way to convert your articles into videos is by using an article-to-video-converter software that turns them into videos in the shortest time possible. It is user friendly and it doesn’t require much technical know-how. But you need to select a good program that allows you to edit your article in any way you want.

Caution: Avoid These Four Social CRM Pitfalls

December 26, 2011 by admin · Leave a Comment

You can make the most of the opportunities presented by social CRM (SCRM) and social media by avoiding these four common mistakes. Social Media — It’s Not A Broadcast Network Many companies fail to grasp the two-way nature of social media. So they use sites like Facebook and Twitter to saturate their audience with messages while making no effort to listen to their customers and respond appropriately. It’s the social media version of “shock and awe.” This is understandable given the evolution of marketing as outbound communication only. But today, such behavior is seen as loutish and clueless. Your Customers Might Misbehave — You Can’t You should behave as a peer with your customers, not a pal. Your customer community may be fairly rambunctious, even coarse on line, but that doesn’t mean you should match their behavior. You shouldn’t.

Maximizing Your Customer Calls: Delivering Your Valuable Message to Customers Who Are On Hold – A SPN Exclusive Article

December 6, 2011 by publisher · Leave a Comment

Anyone who makes their living in business either as an owner or marketer, has heard the term “niche” marketing. Niche marketing is a concept that is based on the idea that it is the little things (like little pockets of highly interested people) that we should be most concerned about appealing to. The concept recognizes the reality in marketing that you can’t be all things to all people. Nor would you want to. Juxtapose this philosophy with a vastly different outlook about how to use space and time to deliver your message to that niche. When it comes to delivery frequency, “less is more” has given way to “more and more and more and more.” Previously under-studied parts of the marketing and customer relations puzzle, are now the province of professional consultants and scientific study. The overall idea is to leave no moment or sensory experience free of immersion for your customer.

5 Easy Ways to Override Google’s Geolocation Results – A SPN Exclusive Article

November 29, 2011 by creative · Leave a Comment

What is geolocation as applied to SEO? It’s when a search engine identifies your whereabouts (by your IP or GSM) and serves you the search results relevant to that particular territory. Some folks find it limiting, while others are quite happy with the feature. However, when it comes to checking rankings, geolocation is mostly bad for SEO’s, since many of them work on websites that target multiple countries, in which case it becomes rather tricky to collect SEO data (rankings and other metrics) for a particular country when you yourself are in a different location. So, how does one manage to do it
