Google Sued by Woman Hit While Walking on Highway

Search Engine Land reports that a Los Angeles-area woman has sued Google after being hit by a car while walking on the side of a rural highway in Utah earlier this year. Lauren Rosenberg is suing Google for more than $100,000 in punitive damages, claiming that the directions she was given by Google Maps on her Blackberry told her to walk on a road that turned out to be unsafe for pedestrians.
